My work blends the expressive brushstrokes and texture of traditional mediums like oils and acrylics with the innovative edge of digital art, creating a style that feels both familiar and fresh. I like to think of my work as “neo-nostalgia,” using color, light, and mood to evoke a sense of memory and connection.
I tend to work quickly, letting brushstrokes guide the process without overworking each piece. My hope is that these scenes can evoke an emotional connection for viewers—a sense of place and nostalgia that feels authentic and resonant. In 2023, I published The Art of Nostalgia, a book that showcases my work alongside memories and stories from the community. It’s sold out four times, and it’s been a joy to see how these places and scenes mean so much to others as well.
I’ve also had the privilege of sharing my work in exhibits across Kitchener-Waterloo and Toronto. Art, to me, is about creating shared moments that speak to our collective memories, a connection I hope to capture in every piece.
